Golden Circle and Glacier
Super-Jeep Day Tour from Reykjavik

Experience many of Iceland´s natural gems in Iceland’s most popular day tour – and do it in a private Super Jeep. The Golden Circle + Glacier tour is a “must see” for first time visitors to Iceland. It includes the tectonic plates, the old viking parliament site, Thingvellir NP, Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, Iceland’s second largest ice cap, Langjokull and quite a bit more….

The optional snowmobiling on the glacier costs:
ISK 24900 per person if 2 people share 1 skidoo
ISK 36900 per person if 1 person per skidoo
Note: The snowmobiling is with other people from other companies so not private but it is possible to book a private snowmobile tour. There is a fixed fee of ISK 125,000 for a private snowmobiling tour which is extra to the price per person above.

Itinerary for the Golden Circle
Super Jeep tour

Departure from Reykjavik to volcano Hengill and Nesjavellir where we can learn about how the enormous geothermal power is harnessed to provide Reykjavik with both hot water and electricity without polluting.

From Hengill volcano it´s only a short drive to Thingvellir where the oldest parliament in world was founded and you can see the tectonic plates boundaries. After Thingvellir we cross the mountain road of Lyngdalsheidi towards Geysir and Gullfoss where we stop for lunch.

Seeing the geyser Strokkur spout boiling water 25-30 m high in the air is fantastic nature experience and the Geysir area has numerous other hot springs. After seeing Iceland’s most famous waterfall, Gullfoss up close and listening to its roaring thunder as it cascades 32 meters down the mighty glacial river Hvíta we drive a mountain track to Iceland´s second largest glacier, Langjokull where you have the option of renting a snowmobile and blaze across the white plains of the glacier.

If you decide not to go snowmobiling, driving on the snow and seeing the glacier and the barren landscape is still big fun and extraordinary.

On the way back to Reykjavik we can make a short photo stop at the Crater Lake Kerid (note: entry fee not included). Once in Reykjavik we will drop you off at your hotel or a restaurant of your choice.

We will of course adjust the tour to your needs and wishes. Please do not hesitate make requests or ask questions.
