Iceland Weekend Getaway
Short & Sweet Plan for Reykjavik

Here is an example of an itinerary we made for a group of young adults who wanted to mix nature & nightlife:

Friday: Arrival & Nightlife
Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival. Just look for a sign with your name on it. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from the airport to your hotel downtown Reykjavik. Depending on your flights we can arrange a city tour. Your driver-guide will show you the main sites of Reykjavik and offer you a choice of cold Icelandic beers and some snacks. You will have some time to take a rest after your flight or the city tour at your hotel before having a dinner. After the dinner you have a list of night clubs that will be open tonight until earlier morning. Friday and Saturday is “traditional” party days for Icelanders and many people go “djamma” – “have a night on the town”.

Saturday: Buggy, ATV‘s & Blue Lagoon. Nightlife
The Blue Lagoon is an ideal place to refresh after the crazy party. Your driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel, not early, so you can sleep enough. You head to the Blue Lagoon, where you will get unforgettable emotions and pleasure from the natural geothermal water in the lava formations. The geothermal water has a unique composition, featuring three active ingredients – silica, algae and minerals, which refreshes and feels you with energy. At the Blue Lagoon you can have a lunch and then we continue to have fun exciting ATV ride. on along lava and black sand up between two mountains, Húsafell and Fiskidalsfjall, and then up onto the mountain Hagafell, where we expect a good view over the Blue Lagoon and the island of Eldey. You head back we can expect good views over the sea and driving by the coast gives and opportunity to see dramatic shipwrecks. In the evening we come back to Reykjavik. After a dinner you can continue to explore Reykjavik night life and party crazy.

Sunday: Helicopter Happy Hour Tour
Today we have easy adventure that would allow you to open a bottle of sparkling wine on the top of a mountain. Never have done it? So, here is the chance. We will arrange a helicopter that will bring you to a nearby mountain in breath-taking views of Reykjavik You will see colorful and charming dollhouse roofs, the neighboring towns and the surrounding countryside with extensive lava fields, reminding us of the true volcanic nature of Iceland. After a thrilling helicopter ride we land on one of the summits surrounding the city for the photo opportunity of a life-time. In the evening you can have a dinner or have some drinks in a local pub, slowing down after the weekend.

Monday: Departure
Private transfer from your hotel to KEF international airport for your flight back home.
